Question:
Probiotic count diminishes over time. Will your probiotic product still contain the amount of probiotic stated on the label by the expiry date? How do you ensure the probiotic product contains the amount of probiotic stated on the label?
Answer:
Life-Space probiotics are tested by TGA licensed laboratories and supported by stability protocols which verify our products meet the indicated shelf life requirement and contain the bacterial count as per label.
Probiotics naturally diminish over time so an overage of bacteria is added to compensate for a natural decline over time and to maintain the bacterial count as stated on the label. However, the probiotic products need to be stored at below 30 degrees and in a low humidity environment to ensure product integrity is maintained. Once opened, the probiotic needs to be consumed within 3 months.
